Chineke Gozie M
Chineke gozie m
In Igbo:
God bless me
Chineke gọziri m
God blessed me
Blessings
I jokingly tell my friends
“It’s not easy being me.
I wouldn’t
Wish it
On my worst enemy.”
But I truly do mean it
At times
I can’t fathom the reality
That I am still existing in this reality
That I still have breath in my lungs
That I still am able to
Walk
Function
Live
Be free
In this prison called
Life
Blessings
Too many to count
Too many to record
As numerous as the hairs on my head are
So is God’s grace over me
Continually
Chinedu
“The Lord Guides”
I know I’m not living right
I see the map He has laid out for
Me
Yet I created my own
Up a rocky path
Full of turmoil
Yet He continues to guide me
Back
Back to His intended
Promise
Blessings
I constantly say
“I shouldn’t be here still”
At times
I had the thought
Other times I had the motive
Even the opportunity
The reminder of His
Blessings
Has kept me here
I am a living and breathing testimony
Of the close calls
When I had no one to call out to
Except the One
Who hears all
Who knows all
Who sees all
The One who was there for my ups
For my downs
Gains
And losses
I say “God Bless Me”
I am already blessed
God Bless Me
Is continual
Perpetual
He who hears my plea
Continues to bless when I no longer
Deserve it
I'm not where I wanna be
But I thank God
I’m not where I used to be
Feelin' like the devil had a hold on
Me
You may not know what I’ve been through
But let my life be
The voice of reason
For your situation
If He did it for me
How much more will He
Do for you?
