Haven’t felt this in a while
I feel like
When your life first experiences chaos
You don’t realize how accustomed
You become to it
Once you realize
Chaos becomes your new peace
When was the last time
I truly felt at peace
Is this even peace
Or is the chaos just dying down
Or lurking in the shadows
Or do I find peace being in the midst
Of chaos
I can’t even answer my own inquiries
It’s as if
I enjoy being in this state
As if I can’t imagine life without it
Without the conflict
Without the tension
Without the friction
On my back
I gaze up at the clouds
Floating pleasantly
Gently tossed by the soft gusts of air
Travelling at their own pace
Carelessly fluttering in the atmosphere
Wisps of water and dust
Moving with a mind of their own
I desired my life to be as such
I’m trying to go with the flow
Instead
I’m fighting against the current
Going against the grain
My path was never meant to be
Like anyone else’s
My purpose is like no other
As I soak in the chaos
And disorder surrounding me
I find peace
I find peace
In the eye of the storm
The chaos does not deter me from my path
It is what carries me down
The torrents of destiny
A life too peaceful
Is a life not worth living at all
I embrace the chaos
Without chaos
We can never appreciate the peace
That follows
The calm before the storm
Is the same
As the calm that follows
